De ultieme groove production studio nu met krachtige nieuwe features voor het creëren van ritmes, melodiën en harmonieën en ze on-the-fly te ordenen tot volwaardige tracks. Deze update voorziet o.a. complete VST en Audio Unit plug-in support voor het gebruik van instrumenten en effects in Maschine. Nieuw in MASCHINE versie 1.6:

• VST®/Audio Units™ plug-in support – parameters are auto-mapped to the knobs on the controller (use external plug-ins inside MASCHINE)
• Swing per sound: swing now also available for individual sounds
• Pad-Link: Trigger multiple sounds by just hitting one pad
• Enhanced drag and drop of internal audio, as well as from the operating system
• Reworked instrument slot section allowing extended effect chains
• Mapping improvement when dragging multiple samples (Kontakt style)
• Extended audio channels: Now 16 stereo outputs
• Duplication improvements: copy sound and its pattern events
• Renaming objects: clips, scenes and samples can now be renamed inside MASCHINE
• Full 64-bit compatibility (incl. VST® Mac®) and 64-bit REX input
